Welcome To The Home of Wikid Tees

Here's the scenario - Two women (one young, one young at heart) sit in an office all day - Boredom takes it's toll and a warped sense of humor takes hold.

Yeah, women DO have naughty minds, and the idea to poke fun at life on t/shirts sprung into motion, and, The Wikid "Factory" Shop - a shop within a factory - opened its doors in December 2004. (Mainly to keep us ladies out of mischief!)

During the phase of sourcing t/shirts, suppliers of quality clothing to major chain stores were found. The opportunity to purchase their "over-runs" and pass them on to the public at a major saving (in these trying economic times) was the beginning of the shops credo.

The factory - plastics manufacturing and mould making - was at one stage making moulds for a major fishing name who sold out to an overseas company. An in-house project to manufacture their own range of lures and sell direct to the public was the start of the fishing tackle and gear side of the shop. With customer demand, this range grew with stocks from reputable suppliers country wide, and the credo of keeping prices at a minimum continued.

The shop, now covering 25% of the factory space, has formed a mini co-operative with individuals and their various wares and has grown from strength to strength over the last five years. The t/shirt collection has flourished, now boasting 127 plus slogans, from kiddies and ladies to men's, ranging from Wicked and Fishing to Goth/Emo, Punk and Rock & Roll, never failing to cover every age, gender, statement, mood and demeanor, and is growing all the time. Oh - and they also make ideal gifts!

(Corporate and personalized screen printing is also on offer).

We are not a big business, more of a hobby, and want to keep the personal interaction with our customers. Our reputation has spread mainly through word of mouth. The Angling Times being the only form of regular media coverage. Advertising costs and we don't want to have to put our prices up to cover unnecessary expenses.

The Wikid Factory Shop is situated on a major route to Mkondeni Industrial area in Pietermaritzburg, has ample safe parking and is open Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm, Fridays 8.00am to 3.30pm and Saturdays 8.30am to 1.00pm. We do like to get a bit of fishing in ourselves so we do not open on Sundays or Public Holidays - Be reasonable!
